We had a special holiday snack. We had cookies and a wonderful ice cream cake that Ms. Pam made for us. It was so yummy. (We will post the recipe here soon.)
We listened to carols while we worked on gifts for our parents. We took white candles in jars and decopauged tissue paper on them. (Some of the girls decided to give them to aunts, or neighbors, and one Brownie gave hers to her leader!) The candles turned out beautifully.
We had a special guest show up as we were finishing our candles. Our principal came to our party! We always look forward to her presence at our events. We were happy to give her a Girl Scout 2000 calendar and an ornament we had made for her. This year, we are having many "lasts...", as our school will be closing at the end of this school year. So, we had our last holiday party with our beloved principal. She couldn't stay with us very long, but long enough to get 17 Brownie hugs, and lots of good wishes.
Then we had our gift exchange. This is the most awaited part of our celebration. Each girl made a special present to give to one of her special Sister Scouts. We all got into a ring and did a musical chair type of present pass.
We have some very creative girls and the gifts were wonderful. Ms. Pam & Ms. Beth also had a small gift for each girl (and siblings, too).
Then we all went home to work off the sugar high from the snack! HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!
